Weddings hold a very special place in my heart, especially after living through the times of Covid, which personally landed me in the hospital for a month and bedridden for another. I came face to face with the uncertainty of life, and there were days I truly didn’t know if I’d see tomorrow. That experience changed me forever. It reminded me just how sacred life is, how precious every moment can be, and how deeply important it is to celebrate love while we can with the people who matter most.

 

I understand the true meaning of a wedding day. After nearly 10 years together, my fiancé and I finally tied the knot Covid style, with a small guest list of 50 close friends and family. These were the people who loved us, supported us, and genuinely wanted to see us happy. I am so grateful we chose to get married when we did, because just one year later, I lost my beloved mom.

 

That loss shook me to the core. She was my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and  the most important people in my life. To have her there, to witness that joyful moment, to smile with me, to dance and laugh and celebrate our love ,I will cherish those memories forever. It reminded me in the deepest way that moments like that are priceless. If you’re lucky enough to have your people with you today, celebrate with them. Love on them. Take THE PICTURES !

 

My only advice? JUST DO IT !  Don’t wait. Life is short, and you’ll never feel 100 percent “ready.” Now,  three kids and a couple of dogs later, we always say we wish we had done it even sooner <3
